Being diagnosed with and living with a chronic illness can take its toll mentally. It can impact many areas of your life which may include changing your plans for the future. Life in general can feel more challenging, from coping with unpleasant or painful symptoms to dealing with stigma. All of this can, understandably, have an effect on your wellbeing and quality of life.
The focus of psychological therapy is to help you to develop coping strategies to better manage your thoughts, feelings and behaviours related to your chronic illness.
The Psychology Paige specialises in psychological therapy for individuals living with Long Term Health Conditions such as ME/CFS, Long Covid, chronic pain conditions, Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
